Repossessing Shanland: Book Launch and Panel Discussion

Chiang Mai University Centre for Research and Academic Services (CRAS) and Regional Center for Social Science and Sustainable Development (RCSD) will host a Book Launch and Panel Discussion on Jane Ferguson’s recent book, Repossessing Shanland: Myanmar, Thailand and a Nation-State Deferred, published by the University of Wisconsin Press, 2021. Five esteemed panelists will comment on Repossessing Shanland: Hseng Noung, Tyrell Haberkorn, Khuensai Jaiyen, David Mathieson and Yos Santasombat. The Book Launch will be introduced by Chayan Vaddhanaphuti.
The panel discussion will be in hybrid format (in person and on zoom)
